Sales Assistant

As the assistant you will work with our sales team to help achieve our targets. This position requires you to assist our sales consultants and managers through the sales process from start to finish as well as assist with inventory and marketing. No previous sales experience is required but is an asset. We will provide you with a comprehensive training program and on-boarding process. This position is set up to grow into a sales consultant role.

Your Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Complete daily call tasks in a timely fashion
  • Maintaining excellent communication records in our CRM system
  • Book sales appointments for customers when required
  • Assist sales consultants with vehicle sales and deliveries
  • Lot Maintenance
  • Assist management when required
  • Other duties as assigned

  • An awareness of the automotive industry is an asset
  • Class 5 Drivers license

Sales Consultant

We are looking for a sales consultant to join our team. If you are a person who wants to build a long term  career while leveraging your sales experience and passion for the automotive industry, you may be the perfect fit for our team.

Job Description

  • Greet and interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, including professional telephone courtesy.
  • Generate and follow up on lead and mature them into final sales.  This will include conducting cold calls to potential customers
  • Learn, retain and communicate information regarding features, advantages and benefits of all new and certified pre-owned vehicles in addition to any fixed operations related services that may be of benefit to the customer
  • Build a relationship with your customer from greeting through post-sale contact.  We require our team mates to provide excellent customer service by maintaining and retaining those relationships.
  • Consistently demonstrate the benchmark selling techniques for automotive sales as trained by management and as described in training materials.
  • Review, learn and apply all job-related training. Actively seek to improve skill set through all offered training opportunities.
  • Participate in monitoring and positively impact the achievement of the store sales volume and metrics goals. Meet and maintain your own personal volume goal while maintaining an above average quality of sale.
  • Assist any customer in all dealership departments in a timely and appropriate manner.

We are looking for candidates that have the following traits or experience:

  • We do not require you to have previous automotive sales however prior experience in industries such as serving and hospitality, electronics sales, furniture sales, real estate, insurance or pharmaceutical sales is considered an asset

Administrative Assistant

Dean Cooley GM is a Chevrolet, Buick and GMC dealer that operates in Dauphin, MB but serves the Parkland area. Our dealership also has a full after sales suite that includes service, parts, accessories and collision centre. Dean Cooley GM is looking for an administrative clerk. This is a fluid position that will require the ideal candidate to work in various departments between Dean Cooley GM and Dauphin Ford if necessary.

Administrative and Financial Duties include:

  • Answering and re-directing calls
  • Greeting visitors
  • Data Entry
  • Basic accounts receivable functions including – receipting and reconciling payments and following up overdue accounts
  • Basic accounts payable functions including – collecting invoices, reconciling balances due and issuing payments
  • Stocking new inventory as it arrives
  • Ordering and stocking supplies
  • Compiling spreadsheets and utilizing internal computer systems

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent Computer skills and comfortable specifically with Microsoft Excel and outlook
  • Critical thinker that allows you to see through a problem for a solution
  • Phone skills and the ability to provide excellent customer service
  • A willingness to learn and the ability to retain information
  • A self starter that is able to work independently after taking direction from team leaders
  • Outgoing and personable
  • Minimum education required is a high school diploma, a college diploma in business administration would be an asset but not required

This position has Hours from 7:30-4:30 Monday to Friday. Compensation is based on experience and can be discussed at time of interview. This position comes with 10 days of paid vacation days per year, starting at year 1.

Salary: $14.00-$20.00 per hour
