Parts Consultant

Dean Cooley GM is a Chevrolet, Buick and GMC dealer that operates in Dauphin, MB but serves the Parkland area. Our dealership also has a full after sales suite that includes service, parts, accessories and collision centre. Dean Cooley GM currently has an employment opportunity in our Parts Department as a Parts Consultant. This person, reporting to parts manager will have the primary for of providing service and parts support for service technicians as well as provide customer service to counter retail clients as well. Experience in parts or someone who is mechanically inclined is an asset.

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Working with our service team to ensure that appropriate parts are ordered for jobs in the service shop
  • Managing parts inventory
  • Shipping and receiving
  • Writing work orders and other basic administrative skills
  • Handling customer phone calls

The Ideal Candidate will have:

  • Excellent Computer Skills
  • Be at team player that is able to take direction from management
  • Self motivated to make decisions
  • Class 5 Drivers license
  • Ability to lift heavy objects

Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant

Dean Cooley GM is a Chevrolet, Buick and GMC dealer that operates in Dauphin, MB but serves the Parkland area. Our dealership also has a full after sales suite that includes service, parts, accessories and collision centre.  Dean Cooley GM is looking for an bookkeeper/administrative assistant.Administrative and Financial Duties include:
  • Answering and re-directing calls
  • Greeting visitors
  • Basic AR functions including – receipting and reconciling payments and following up over due accounts
  • Basic AP functions including – collecting invoices, reconciling balances due and issuing payments
  • Stocking new inventory as it arrives
  • Expense analysis and review
  • Preparing monthly account reconciliations
  • Ordering and stocking supplies
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Excellent Computer skills and comfortable specifically with Microsoft Excel
  • Critical thinker that allows you to see through a problem for a solution
  • Phone skills and the ability to provide excellent customer service
  • Minimum education required is a high school diploma, a college diploma in business administration would be an asset but not required
This position has Hours from 7:30-4:30 Monday to Friday. Compensation is based on experience and can be discussed at time of interview.  This position comes with 10 days of paid vacation days per year, starting at year 1.What we offer:
