Parts Advisor

Dean Cooley GM currently has an employment opportunity in our Parts Department as a Parts Consultant. This person, reporting to Parts Manager will have the primary job of providing service and parts support for service technician, while also providing a high level of customer service to counter retail clients. Experience in parts or someone who is mechanically inclined is an asset.

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Selling parts at Parts Counter, Certified Service Express, and Service/Collision desks
  • Maintaining a high level of service to internal customers and retail customers
  • Daily shipping and receiving of parts or as required
  • Stocking shelves and organize inventory on a daily basis
  • Answering Department phones/paging
  • Demonstrating good judgment and reasoning in identifying and solving problems
  • Ensuring required records are prepared in an accurate and timely manner i.e. – Repair Orders, Parts Invoices, Purchase Orders, Shipping & Receiving documents
  • Collecting and receipting payment on all parts before they leave the Parts Department
  • Meeting or exceeding the Company’s customer satisfaction requirements
  • Striving for harmony and cooperation with all departments
  • Maintaining a clean counter area and assisting in keeping department neat and clean
  • Performing other job related duties as required
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of computer systems used by department and demonstrate a willingness to increase computer knowledge through training when required
  • Participating in all required training programs
  • Working as a team to accomplish the overall Company goals and objectives
  • Displaying a positive attitude toward customers and co-workers at all time

The Ideal Candidate will have:

  • Excellent Computer Skills
  • Be at team player that is able to take direction from management
  • Self motivated to make decisions
  • Highschool Diploma or Equivalent
  • Class 5 Drivers license
  • Ability to lift heavy objects
  • Good Overall Communication Skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $40,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
